Partnership a big hit

We have been a major sponsor of Cricket NSW and the NSW Blues for more than 10 years. Our Plan B campaign is promoted by the NSW Blues, who help spread the message that drinking and driving is not an option.

The NSW Blues help to change unsafe driver behaviour through online initiatives, prominent signs at venues including the Sydney Cricket Ground and ANZ Stadium, and Plan B team training gear and uniforms.

About 16 per cent of all deaths on NSW roads involve drink driving. The NSW Blues help promote the Plan B message to the community about making positive choices to get home safely if you have been drinking.

Our Plan B Nightwatchman, Nathan Lyon, reinforces the safety message on his blog and with his special Plan B bat, he provides not only national coverage, but international exposure as well.

Plan B Regional Bash

Border Bullets cricket team.

With about 80 per cent of all alcohol related fatal crashes occurring in country NSW, the Plan B Regional Bash promotes the campaign to a wider audience across NSW regional areas. The NSW Blues help to persuade drivers that RBT means you need a Plan B. The Regional Bash was promoted through local media including radio stations and venue marquees, signs and team uniforms.

The T20 knockout tournament featured 16 regional teams from across NSW. The finals were played at the SCG on Sunday 6 December, where the Border Bullets (pictured) scored 7-130 to defeat the Northern Inland Bolters, 5-124, and win the competition.
