Commuter rider - 30 seconds

[A motorcyclist lowers his helmet visor and pulls out from the gutter on a suburban street. He rides onto a busy multi-lane road with other traffic. Up tempo music plays.]

Narrator: Think you've got what it takes to ride to live?

[At the sound of a loud drumbeat, three clones of the rider appear. Two speed off, while the third slows down and moves into the left lane. Up ahead on the left, a side street intersects with the multi-lane road. As the motorcyclists travel straight ahead, an oncoming car turns across their path into the side street.]

[The first clone does not set up his brakes or buffer away from the turning car. He hits the front of the car and explodes with a bang. The second clone does not set up his brakes and does not leave enough buffer area away from the car. He crashes into the passenger side door of the car and explodes to the noise of shattering glass.]

[The third clone brakes safely and buffers well away from the car. The clone rides safely on and merges back into the rider.]

[The motorcyclist travels through a tunnel safely, with the bike’s headlight on. He travels down a city street and approaches a bus on the left stopped near the kerb.]

[Three clones of the rider emerge. The first travels on ahead, the second slows down a little and moves to the left, while the third brakes and creates a safe buffer area to his left, away from the bus.]

[The first clone overtakes the bus, but hits a car that suddenly pulls out from the kerb and explodes with a bang. The second clone slams into the bus as it pulls out from the kerb and explodes to the noise of shattering glass]

[The third clone brakes safely and avoids the bus. The clone rides safely on and merges back into the rider, who travels on safely down a multi-lane city road.]

Recreational rider 30 seconds

[A motorcyclist starts his road bike and rides along a country road marked down the middle with double white lines. The motorcycle revs loudly over the up-tempo soundtrack music.]

Narrator: Think you've got what it takes to ride to live?

[The motorcyclist approaches a corner. An electronic sound effect plays and three clones of the rider appear. Two accelerate ahead, while the third slows down and moves to the left of the lane.]

[The second clone takes a tight line close to the double white lines, hits an oncoming car and explodes with a bang. The first clone rides too wide on the corner, runs off the road into a safety rail and explodes to the noise of shattering glass.]

[The third clone chooses a safe course, creates a buffer away from the oncoming car, rides safely around the corner and merges back into the rider.]

[The motorcyclist continues on the tree lined road and approaches a campervan from behind. The motorcycle revs loudly. An electronic sound effect plays and three clones of the rider appear.]

[Two of the clones accelerate ahead, the first to the left of the lane and the other near the double-white lines. They both ride up close behind the campervan.]

[The campervan suddenly brakes to turn left into a dirt road. There is also a car waiting to turn right from the dirt road. The first clone crashes into the back of the campervan and explodes to the noise of shattering glass.]

[The second clone attempts to overtake the campervan, but hits the car turning right from the dirt road and explodes with a bang. The third clone is at a safe following distance and brakes in time to avoid the campervan and the car turning across his path. The clone rides safely on and merges back into the rider.]

Driver 15 seconds

[A driver is travelling behind another car on a straight stretch of country road marked with unbroken lines. Up-tempo music plays.]

Narrator: A good driver is aware of what's on the road.

[The driver prepares to overtake the car in front and checks his right side mirror. In the distance, the driver can see a car behind him. There is also a motorcyclist in dark leathers travelling in front of that car, but he is more difficult for the driver to see in the mirror.]

[The driver fails to check the blind spot to his right, indicates and moves across the broken centre line to overtake the car in front. The motorcyclist sounds his horn.]

Narrator: Would you have seen the motorcyclist?

[The driver checks his rear-vision mirror and sees he has almost hit the motorcyclist travelling behind him.]

Narrator: Help motorcyclists ride to live.

[We see the view through the rider’s visor as he approaches a bus stopped at the side of the road. At the sound of a loud drumbeat, three clones of the rider appear. Two speed off, while the third clone applies the brakes and slows down.]

[The first clone speeds ahead and hits a car that pulls out from the kerb in front of the bus. The second clone crashes into the side of the bus as it pulls out from the kerb. The third clone stays a safe distance behind the bus, rides on safely, then merges back into the motorcyclist.]
