Summary

The Oxley Highway is a major east-west transport route linking the mid North Coast regions to the Central West regions of NSW. It also provides access to three major north-south transport routes, the Newell, New England and Pacific highways. A route safety review was conducted on the section of the highway from the junction of the Pacific Highway west of Port Macquarie to the junction of the Mitchell Highway at Nevertire, a distance of about 506 km.
